Join us at our first annual Treasure Find (not your average yard sale)! One mom's trash is another mom's treasure.... Find a treasure at a great price, and support the moms of the Single Mom Strong Community. At this fun event, several moms will be selling their gently used items, (from toys to housewares to clothing and more) and refreshments will also be sold. This event will also be a learning experience for the children of our community, as they "work" the tables, providing customer service, learning to count change, etc. While you are there, stop by the Single Mom Strong booth to learn more about SMS.

Talking TED Talks- SMS SACRAMENTO

2100 J St. Sacramento, CA (Inside FUMC)

Join us as we spend the evening watching and discussing some of the most powerful TED Talks.  This is better than a movie night!  We will gather together to watch empowering, uplifting talks, chosen by moms of our community.  TED is a nonpartisan nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, in the form of short, powerful talks. TED began in 1984 as a conference and today there are TED events all over the world where experts discuss almost all topics — from science to business to personal to global issues.  Our moms will select some of the most powerful TED talks to share, enjoy and discuss.  This will also be a dessert potluck, you are invited to (but not required to) bake or buy your favorite treat to bring and share with the group.

Single Mom Strong- Mom's Night Out- August SACRAMENTO

Come make a masterpiece at our August Single Mom Strong- Mom's Night Out! We are excited to spend an evening at The Painted Cork “paint and sip” Art Studio in Sacramento, a comfortable and fun Art Studio with an exciting social flair. Get creative as a professional Art instructor guides you through a 2-hour acrylic on canvas painting class, while you enjoy your favorite wine, beer or non-alcoholic beverage and snacks. All Art supplies are included with the class such as brushes, paints, canvases, easels and aprons, and every class is taught step by step so there is NO EXPERIENCE necessary!

We will meet at SMS Sacramento at 6pm, where mothers can drop off their (pre-registered) children in the childcare, (and they will have their own art-filled night of coloring and Origami!) Then we will head over to The Painted Cork!  Admission is normally $30-40 per person, but The Painted Cork and Single Mom Strong are bringing you this Mom's Night Out for just $10 per person!

Budgeting and Financial Success- SMS ROSEVILLE

Do you want to start saving for your child to go to college or for your dream trip?  In just over an hour, you will create your very own personal/family budget. Leave the workshop with the tools you need to manage your money each month. Budgets give you control, organization, more money and better opportunities. Take control of your money and ensure your financial future.  START GATHERING YOUR BILLS TOGETHER NOW AND BRING A COPY OF EACH MONTHLY BILL AND A RECENT BANK STATEMENT.  A $1 donation is requested (but not required).

Children of single mothers and SMS volunteers are always welcome in the childcare during our events for a cost of $1.

Single Mom Strong Night at BounceU ROSEVILLE

It's Single Mom Strong Night at BounceU Roseville!  Moms, come have some fun with your kids, (or enjoy some time with other strong single moms while the kids play) at this fun evening event!  Single Mom Strong will have PRIVATE access from (6:00 pm – 7:30 pm),  at a cost of just $8.50 per child.  Moms (& sibling under the age of 2 yrs old) are free with one paying child!  Please don't forget, socks required to play.  Reservations strongly recommended, as we have limited spots available, so walks-in may not be accepted.  Reservations can be made through the BounceU online calendar https://www.bounceu.com/roseville-ca/calendar/
